Advanced Flatwater SUP Skills
This course builds on the skills and knowledge gained in the Basic SUP Skills course and introduces participants to paddling in more challenging conditions, and to more advanced paddle boarding skills.
The Advanced course is perfect for the individual who wants to learn more technical flatwater strokes and safety skills. This course is also required before taking the River 1 Skills Course, if river paddle boarding is an interest!
Some topics covered include:
-towing and partner rescue
-foot positions
-pivot turns
-draw and cross draw strokes
-edging and bracing

Basic SUP Skills Certification required to take this course.
Minimum 2 person, maximum 6.
Typical course length is 2-3 hours.
Location: Gap Lake, Canmore, Alberta
**Course location and/or date may change due to weather or other factors.
Paddle boards, ankle leashes, paddles, PFD’s, wetsuits, watershoes, and splash jackets are provided.
