This course builds on the skills and knowledge gained in the Flatwater 1 SUP Skills course and introduces participants to paddling in more challenging conditions, and to more advanced paddle boarding skills.
This Course has a pass/fail component, with a certification awarded at the end of the course. This is a great first step for those looking to enter the tourism world as a guide or working professional

The Flatwater 2 Skills course is perfect for the individual who wants to learn more technical flatwater strokes and safety skills. This course is also required before taking the River 1 Skills Course, if river paddle boarding is an interest!

Some topics covered include:
-towing and partner rescue
-foot positions
-pivot turns
-draw and cross draw strokes
-edging and bracing

Flatwater 1 SUP Skills Certification required to take this course.
Minimum 2 person, maximum 6.
Ages 16+
Typical course length is 3 hours.
Location: Gap Lake, Canmore, Alberta
**Course location and/or date may change due to weather or other factors.
Paddle boards, ankle leashes, paddles, PFD’s, wetsuits, watershoes, and splash jackets are provided.
